So something happened in Traffic Exchange Live this week that hasn’t occurred in a very long time.

Jon Olson cooked pasta, live!

And it was great fun… but then again, everything Jon does is funny – even cooking.

I kind of totally lost yesterday unintentionally and didn’t make it to TE Live. I had been up pretty much all night and morning and was getting really tired, and then the temperature dropped outside and I was getting really cold. I curled up and got all comfy and cozy in my pink Snuggie (yes, I have a pink Snuggie!) and went down for what I intended to be about an hour’s nap and then I woke up around eight hours later, totally missing both Traffic Exchange Live and the Get Referrals Fast weekly conference last night. Bad Lynn, bad Lynn!

We’ve been sort of just chit-chatting and hanging out a lot this week, with Tim mostly MIA (presumably working hard on “Pony List”) and I don’t know that there’s any major stunning gossipy bits to report, but here’s what I’ve got for you so far for the latter part of the week @TE Live, which isn’t much, but a little AND a recipe for you…

Traffic Exchange Live Weekly (so far) Roundup:

  • Jon Olson was at Traffic Exchange Live pretty much every day, or at least the ones I was there this week – somewhat surprisingly, since Call of Duty: Black Ops was released this week.
  • Jon went to the store at midnight when it was released and showed us his video from the trip.
  • As mentioned on Wednesday, Jon revealed the hint about “Pony List” without actually SAYING so… because he instead scribbled it on a piece of paper with The Most Famous Marker on the Internetâ„¢:

  • Other than making it for an hour (or a little less so he could go play COD some more) of TE Live every day, Mr. Olson has indeed been, quote, “deep into Call of Duty: Black Ops”.
  • John Guanzon branded ThumbVu and was all Mr. Mom on cam on Wednesday. Baby Guanzon was just being all cute. And I really hope Baby Guanzon likes yellow and green A LOT because there is a lot of it there at Casa de Guanzon:

  • On Wednesday, Jon was a little late coming into TE Live.
  • Which was okay, because The Jon Olson Hand Puppet showed up on time and said pretty much everything Jon usually says in a nearly-perfect Jon Olson voice:

  • Someone commented that Jon had lost an awful lot of weight.
  • Also on Wednesday, Jon cooked pasta live on cam from his kitchen (see recipe for Pasta a la TE Live below).
  • No fingers were amputated during the creation of Pasta a la TE Live.

  • GIVEAWAYS: None so far this week… but the pasta sure was looking nice and yummy.
  • I CALL YOU OUT ABOVE, YOU GET LINKAGE: Safelist Marketing Tactics (Jerry Iannucci), The Pizza Plan (Jon Olson), Sweeva (Tim Linden), TE Reports (John Guanzon)
  • ALSO SEEN ON THE SCENE: Brenda Broyles, Darrell Whiston, Dorena Begonia, Emma Jones, Jimmy Adams, Lynne Sherman, Monty Ferbert, Paul Brown, Winnie, Brett Phillips, Carl Bailey, Chris Probert, Anthony Shenberger, Ram Kumar, Tom Canzoneri, Jerry Reeder, Ed Tyner, James Holmes, Justin Ledvina, Jimmy Adames, John Bell, Peter Boer, Stephen Whittle, Charles Smith – and of course, Randy Ritter.
  • QUOTE OF THE WEEK (so far): “I have no social life, so I will have no professional life this week.” – Jon Olson

And, as promised, here is the recipe for Jon’s Pasta a la TE Live:

  • Hot (or mild if you choose) Italian sausages x6
  • 28 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 2 teaspoons basil
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • Sea salt (if desired)
  • Black pepper (if desired)
  • Vegetable oil
  • Pasta

Dice sausage and make pieces about 1/2 inch thick. Cook sausage in a frying pan, then mix together sausage, tomatoes, yellow onion, oregano, basil, parsley, and garlic. Add sea salt and black pepper to taste, if desired. Cook for 2 to 3 hours on simmer.

Pasta: Cook pasta al dente for 8 minutes in boiling water with a little vegetable oil.

Serve sausage mixture over pasta and enjoy!
