I don’t like Murphy.

You know, Murphy’s Law that says “anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”.

Except it always seems that in my case, Murphy always feels compelled to smack me in the face with an extra shot of “just when you think it can’t get any worse, it will”.

Yeah, it’s one of those kinda weeks, definitely.

Something for me that actually IS going right and not fifty one thousand ways of wrong at present is being an upgraded member of Get Referrals Fast. Thanks to one of the (several) products within Get Referrals Fast that is only available  for upgraded members to use, as well as what’s available to free members also, I have put as many or more new subscribers on my list in just a few weeks than I think I have since the beginning of the year, total.

Get Referrals Fast is a pretty great program for free members, but this is why being an upgraded member is so much more valuable. (And it’s a reasonable upgrade – you can get it for as much or less than any traffic exchange upgrade.) I also love the fact that Mike and Jerry provide quality training for all members AND the public, every single week, for free.

I’m glad something in my life is working out and going well this week. Ugh.

P.S. Pssst, I know where there’s bunches more free stuff  to grab… the No Labor – Labor Day Holiday Giveaway has just opened today and is open through the entire month of September, so go download all the goodies you want!

(Apologies in advance to those who wind up here searching Google for John Steinbeck, Of Mice and Men, or Robert Burns… and yes, I know it’s really “the best-laid schemes”.)  :-)

So the short version is I had other, bigger plans for the day today, but that all kinda got shot down by what has been a lousy, lousy weekend. Sometimes things just go that way.

Well, if nothing else, at least I’m honest about it. I’m human and definitely not superhuman. I may not make millions and millions of dollars online being honest, but I do okay, and I can pretty much promise you I’ll be the first one to tell you if something’s a waste of your time and not worth the trouble.

And the first to not be afraid to admit when I’m not operating at full speed, which definitely is so today, but I wanted to get out a little post today at least anyway before I give up on today and wait for tomorrow to surely be a better one!

This upcoming week/next week being a holiday week here in the U.S., I guess that made it an appealing time to schedule a lot of giveaways, because there are several opening up this week as well as one that just opened this past Friday.

These are cool because you can score a whole lot of free stuff – software, scripts, marketing e-books and reports, all kinds of things – and usually products with Master Resell Rights and giveaway rights, all in one place. I actually picked up some software last week I’d wanted before and forgotten about until I saw it on one of the giveaway lists.

So since I’ve got a burgeoning migraine coming on this morning, I’m just going to leave you with this and point you in the direction of the Labor Day JV Giveaway, which opened its doors this morning (Monday) at 9:00 am EST.

This one’s just open for two weeks, so go check it out and grab some cool – and free – stuff while you’re at it, and let me know if you pick up something you’re thrilled about – I might have overlooked it and need/want it too!

Surf’s Up Site of the Day:  Traffic Punk

Why: ‘Cos I haven’t seen a lot of TE mail come in this a.m. besides TTP‘s (which gets plugged here lots, so Traffic Punk gets the Surf’s Up for today. And Ryan’s giving away 13 big prizes to 13 random surfers who surf 375 pages today, so you know… go surf!

So you probably already know that these days in online marketing, you really need to have a blog. Maybe you’ve been thinking about blogging, or already have a blog of your own – and that’s great if you do. You should!!

Blogging is easy… for some people. Don’t hate me because I’m one of them! Part of the ease for me comes from coming from an academic and literary writing background, and part of it’s just because I’ve been doing it so long, since back when I started writing about personal stuff nobody really cared about except for a few friends and family – back before blogs were even called blogs (lol). I don’t always blog every day like I should (I can see you shaking your head “no” in agreement over there, Mike Paetzold!)  :-)

Blogging can be a little bit more difficult and a daunting task for others and require a bit of a learning curve, but there’s another aspect of blogging that can often be a stumbling block for old school and newbie bloggers alike…

How do you get traffic to your blog???

What if I told you there are a relatively small number of free and easy to apply methods you can use to magnetically draw tons of traffic to your blog? And not only traffic – but super highly ultra-targeted traffic?

You’d like to get a hold of something like that, right?

Well, if you’re a struggling blogger, a newbie blogger, a thinking-about-starting blogger, or just a blogger who’d like to get more traffic streaming into their blog – it’s your lucky day.

It just so happens that the ace team of Jerry (Master Copywriter) Reeder and Mike (“The WordPress Guy”) Paetzold just released 21 Ways to Beam Traffic Directly to Your Blog the other day, and now you can get it too.

With 21 Ways to Beam Traffic Directly to Your Blog, you’ll find out:

  • How to get complete and total strangers to advertise your blog posts
  • The traffic siphoning methods the gurus use to ethically steal traffic from the biggest and most heavily visited sites online
  • Back doors to getting your blog on the first page of Google
  • Lots more!

The valuable methods in 21 Ways to Beam Traffic Directly to Your Blog are broken down into bite-sized pieces that are easy to follow and anyone can put this info into practice and make it work for them. All of the 21 ways may not apply to you and your situation, but there is definitely something in here (and likely quite a bit of the methods useful and applicable) for everyone.

I’m not just talking out of the side of my mouth pitching this report (and it’s free anyway).

I’m pitching it because it works.

I was given an advance copy of this report, and I don’t reckon it’s a secret that Mike has been helping me break some of my bad blogging habits lately (heh, when he can get through my blonde roots anyway) and try some new things blog-wise. After reviewing 21 Ways, I was pleased to see that there actually were a couple of methods that I had already been doing, but there were several others I hadn’t even thought about or ever heard of.

Between the new strategies suggested in 21 Ways that I’ve been putting into practice and all the good blogging advice that is free to be had at Mike and Jerry’s weekly List Building Conferences, I have seen a pretty dramatic and tremendous upswing in both traffic and results over the last month or so.

In a way, I’d kinda like to know what my results would have been had I been using some of these methods all along – on the other hand, I don’t think I wanna know because I’ll be kicking myself for not having thought to or looked into doing this stuff sooner!

And I still have some of the methods from 21 Ways left to get started on putting into practice – so there are surely more good results ahead! Thanks to Jerry, Mike, and Jay Hines (the cool dude in the group who takes ideas and makes them real) for putting 21 Ways together – it will surely help a lot of people find their way (and get tons more traffic!).

In any case, this stuff just plain works. It’s a very brief report and an easy read (and again, free) – and full of very, very useful stuff.

So whether you’re just thinking about blogging, just started blogging, or been blogging – check out 21 Ways to Beam Traffic Directly to Your Blog and get ahead of the blogging game – and get ready for rivers of ultra-targeted traffic when you put some of those 21 ways into practice!

I just had to chime in here again this week and say how very thrilled I am with the great results I’m getting from Jay Latour’s new advertising program that launched exactly a week ago, Traffic Bar Ads.

You know how you sometimes send out a solo e-mail or a safelist/list builder e-mail, and then watch the signups come trickling in over hours after, days, and weeks? And even months sometimes, in the case of ad sites that don’t expire their e-mails or not for a long time.

That’s not happening with Traffic Bar Ads. So far, this new advertising venue is proving to be VERY responsive.

Twice this week, I’ve sent out solo e-mail ads. Both times, I had new opt-ins to one of my lists within literally minutes.

That never happens to me (LOL). The opt-ins will come, but usually over several hours, days, a week, whatever. Not like this with Traffic Bar Ads and seeing them pop up within just a few short minutes!

I also think I’d be pretty happy about my results with the slide-up ad I’m running on Traffic Bar Ads, except I made a mistake and wasn’t thinking when I initially set it up and didn’t set it up with a tracking link. I’ve rectified that dumb mistake now and am going to be watching results closely in the immediate future.

In any case, as responsive as Traffic Bar Ads is turning out to be so far, I am really, really looking forward to watching how things go as the site and membership continues to grow from its current brand-new state right now.

So if you haven’t joined yet, I strongly encourage you to check out Traffic Bar Ads and see for yourself how responsive it is. I love getting new opt-ins and signups, don’t you? So be sure to go to Traffic Bar Ads and get your share too!

One thing I promise you guys is that I’ll always let you know of any really worthwhile places where you can advertise and promote your stuff.

And I mean TRULY, honestly worthwhile places – not places that are full of junk where no one’s logging in or seeing your ads.

Let’s see if you agree with this statement…

I don’t think there can ever be “too many places to advertise”.

Yeah, I have my favorites and my stable of “tried and true” spots that always get me results, the ones I use again and again.

But I’m always on the lookout for any place new to promote my stuff, especially if it looks promising as far as getting results and conversions.

That’s why I’m excited now to be able to tell you about Traffic Bar Ads, an awesome new place to advertise that my buddy Jay Latour has just launched today.

Traffic Bar Ads has:

  • slide-up ads
  • link cloaking
  • solo e-mails (!!!)

It’s designed to boost your web traffic and get your promotions in front of more visitors – and more high converting, targeted visitors at that.

It’s also very easy:

  • You create your ad links.
  • Your ads are displayed somewhere on the Internet as long as you have credits available.

The available credits part? Lots of ways to rack up credits, including just by logging in.

You’ve probably seen this kind of advertising before (and maybe even used it).

But one thing I am confident about with Traffic Bar Ads is that Jay – another traffic exchange owner and good, honest program owner and all around nice guy – will make this service top quality for his members and worth their while to advertise in.

So if you’re always looking for more places to advertise (I always am!), check out the brand new Traffic Bar Ads today – and start getting your ads seen!

P.S. We all know by now there’s always more benefit if you upgrade, but I do urge you to take a look at this one at least…

Upgraded members get:

  • lots more credits
  • increased solo mail capability & frequency
  • earn more credits from your downline
  • and much more!

So be sure and check out ALL the available upgrade options while you’re checking out Traffic Bar Ads – go right now and see!

The short version of this post (besides the usual Traffic Exchange Live news) is this: IM Faceplate is a complete and total game-changer and freakin’ awesome and I love it, and I was an idiot for not paying more attention to all the buzz about it last week.

You might have heard me joke in the past about my “Internet ADD”. While it’s mostly a joke, it’s true there are certain circumstances that sometimes cause my brain to shut off or send my attention zooming elsewhere. This is true not just with traffic exchange and marketing-related stuff, but pretty much all aspects of the online world in general.

I’m sure this attention problem affects more people than just me, I just think mine’s probably worse than most and often affected by truly odd things that might not affect most everyone else. I can’t even really tell you what the circumstances that set it off are – I just know that they’re there, mainly because – at some point later on – I find out I missed something I shouldn’t have.

I say all that to say: Well, blow me away… I should have been paying more attention last week when everyone was talking about IM Faceplate!!

Honestly, there have been so many social network thingamabobs and similar thingamajigs coming out all the time for the past year or so – and a couple of the more established ones, I didn’t really care for too much or only recently took much of a liking to – when I started hearing about IM Faceplate, I kinda just thought, “eh, another social network thingy”. I actually got hipped to the fact that it was about to come out a week or two before it launched, and while it sounded kinda interesting and all – again, I more or less thought, “eh, another social network thingy”.

Don’t get me wrong, I generally like most of the major social networking stuff (though it took me a while to learn to like Facebook), and I and some of my statewide blogging colleagues were all very early adopters of Twitter. But when it’s something that winds up needing constant maintenance and gets very time consuming, that’s where my interest and activity starts to falter. I love Facebook now and have enjoyed reconnecting with really old friends and others, but I can easily wind up stuck on Facebook for 12-15 hours straight if I’m not careful. Consequently, I’ve been so busy the last couple of weeks, I really haven’t logged in and am now kinda dreading when I do.

So there was that, and yet another reason for being all “eh, just another social network thingy” about IM Faceplate.

The day IM Faceplate was launched, I was really busy that day trying to help out with Safelist Marketing Tactics‘ one-year anniversary. I was messing around in other tabs and windows doing stuff while Traffic Exchange Live was going on, where pretty much all they were talking about that day was IM Faceplate and how to set it up and use it, and following each other and all that. I was listening (sorta), but obviously not as closely as I should have been.

So I kind of about half-listened to all of the TE Live folks talk about it, and sort of just put IM Faceplate on my to-do list for later on when I had more free time and went about my merry way. Still thinking in the back of my mind, “eh, just another social network thingy”, but also thinking, “ugh, this sounds like something that is going to be more time-consuming than I want to mess with much”.

By Saturday afternoon’s Affiliate Funnel conference, I still hadn’t signed up. Everybody was talking about it in there too, and I was kinda glad to hear William Brant say he hadn’t really looked at it yet either, so I didn’t feel so much like the only Lone Ranger in TE & IM Land who hadn’t yet signed up and checked IM Faceplate out. Again, still on my to-do list – but I wasn’t all that excited about it and was dragging my feet getting to it ‘cos (as by now you know) “eh, (it was) just another social network thingy”.

Then after the weekend was over, my friend Winter Perkins and I were chatting about nothing much important as we often do (lol), and the subject of IM Faceplate came up.

Winter and I are a lot alike in a lot of ways, but one way we differ a bit in the way we do things online is that she loves, loves, LOVES social networking. That’s totally her thing, while I am usually more semi-warm to apathetic about it – mainly because most social networking stuff takes up more time on a regular basis than I generally want to spend on it.

On the other side of the coin, I like participating in forums (like this one) while Winter really doesn’t much, and I mostly enjoy surfing – even though I don’t much anymore – while she hates to surf.  This all kinda works out nicely between us as I can let her know any need-to-know info from forums and other such places and she can hip me to apps and other things I might not have necessarily known about myself.

So yeah, we got to talking about IM Faceplate and I expressed my reasons for being slow to sign up and what my perception had been – and then she set me straight, because my perceptions had been totally wrong. She assured me it probably wouldn’t take more than 20 minutes or so to set up (which was about right) and told me what all it does.

Once I got signed up and started looking around, it dawned on me that IM Faceplate was absolutely NOT “eh, just another social network thingy”! It really has totally changed the whole landscape of social networking, especially for Internet marketers. So much so that I am kinda, like, all “who needs Facebook?” now. (No, I probably won’t kill my Facebook pages, but I’m even less excited about them now than I was before, heh.)

One of the neatest aspects of IM Faceplate is the way it works with your Twitter account, your blog feed if you have one – really the possibilities of what you can send to your Faceplate that will be as active as you are elsewhere are limitless. So though I’m not necessarily an every single day without fail blogger (or Tweeter), I do both pretty regularly – therefore my Faceplate is never going to look as inactive and slightly desolate as, for instance, my Facebook pages for the blog and my traffic exchange do right now.

The ability to put opt-in forms – to pretty much anything! – is very cool too. Granted, right now the majority of followers and visitors I may amass from following the people I am following are probably either already subscribed to my blog or come by here all the time anyway – but that won’t likely be the case with the majority of future followers and visitors, especially since IM Faceplate is one of those things that’s not only going to be valuable to traffic exchange folks but all kinds of online marketing people. I slapped an opt-in form to subscribe to my blog up, and I’ve seen other friends who have opt-ins for various programs they’re in or own and other stuff. Again, really, the possibilities are unlimited.

And it’s an awesome personal branding tool, and as many know, we in TE Land are all about personal branding. I mean, just look at it. That’s like branding yourself all over the place. Branding on steroids. Yeah.

But let’s talk about the one thing that truly blew me away about IM Faceplate and that I totally missed while half-paying attention to people talking about it last week, and one other REALLY cool thing I found to do with it…

First, the really cool thing I found to do with it… you know those Sweeva widgets that they recently added “Easter egg” type random prizes to that everyone’s going around blogs and all over the place hunting for? Put a Sweeva widget on your IM Faceplate!!! Now! Then tell everyone you have one there! Page views, people, page views.

So now I have my Sweeva widget on both the blog and my Faceplate, and thinking of other places I can put it, hehe. I can’t really take credit for this, I saw it on Louise Venison’s (HitsBoosterPro) Faceplate and swiped the idea, but it’s very cool. The more Sweeva widgets you know where they are, the better your chances to win something (and check out cool pages while you’re looking, both on the widget and whatever page it’s on)!

So go to Louise’s Faceplate and check hers, then go to my Faceplate and check the Sweeva widget there (after checking the one on the page you’re on right now here at my blog) – maybe you’ll be a winner!

But here is the main #1 biggest thing about IM Faceplate that rocked my world…

Clickbank commissions!!! (OK – since I originally started typing this, I have discussed this aspect of IM Faceplate with the TE Live gang and most of them aren’t all that excited or expectant about the whole Clickbank commissions things. But being someone who’s still waiting to get paid for the first time, I still like it – heck, if I made five different sales from it in a year or two even, that’d still get me ahead of where I am with getting that Clickbank payment right now. Anyway…)

Someone may have talked about this last week during all the buzzing about the program when it launched – or in any of the mails and blog posts I’ve read about it since it launched – but I’ll be danged, if they did, my Internet ADD kicked in and I just totally missed it.

And by that, I mean that you can get paid Clickbank commissions from the ads that are on your IM Faceplate – according to the documentation, 50% of the ads if you’re a free member… and 100% if you’re a Pro member.

Why do I care about this? Well, if you’ve ever dealt with Clickbank before, you probably know that when you’re smaller (i.e., not a Jon Olson or a Paul Kinder) and just getting started, it can get tough and take a lot of time to make their requirement where you can actually withdraw the money you earn. I don’t do a lot of Clickbank stuff but I have some in my stable, and I’ve done okay with it and have a fair amount built up – but I haven’t been able to meet the requirement for disbursement because virtually all of my Clickbank sales have been by PayPal, and the PayPal sales don’t factor into the requirement. It hasn’t been that long since I was in an online discussion about this same issue.

So yes – I LOVE THIS! And am planning on going Pro at IM Faceplate as soon as I’m able to, mainly because of just that. Maybe I might see some sales and maybe I may not, but no doubt – and especially as IM Faceplate continues to grow and get more and more publicized across the great big ol’ Internet – the chances of sales that will get me to that threshold quicker are greatly increased, the way I see it!

And worth going Pro at IM Faceplate for – while I think it might have been a little better for them to have kept the monthly price a little more in line with the going rate at many related programs, it’s still reasonable. Especially if you take one of the multi-month upgrades (3 and 6 months available).

So anyway, now I’m hooked and a big, big fan, and yeah – that’ll teach me (once again) to pay better attention than I sometimes do, ‘cos if I’d realized all that last week when everyone was yapping about it, I’d have probably gone ahead and signed up and had way more followers than I do right now (as of this moment while I’m typing, I have all of one, heh).

I think different things about IM Faceplate will appeal to different people (obviously I’m all about the Twitter & blog feeds and especially the Clickbank commissions), but it’s really just a win-win situation for everyone. It’s awesome!

So yes, by all means, hurry and go check out IM Faceplate and if you’re not a member yet – and if you are into traffic exchange marketing or any other area of online marketing and are not a member yet, you should be! – sign up now and take 20-30 minutes to fix up your profile and watch it go. I’ve been hearing about other people’s results getting followers, Twitter followers, blog subscribers, other subscribers, etc. all week long – it is totally worth your while.

And if you’re already a member, drop by my Faceplate and follow me (and don’t forget to check the Sweeva widget and see if you won anything!). If I’m not already following you, I will do so as soon as I’m in again and catch it (I hear they are going to tweak the whole follow process to make it better soon).

OK, now that the IM Faceplate gushing is over with for today… what about Traffic Exchange Live?

Well, I’m glad you asked… except in looking at my notes I find I am missing some very important elements of a normal TE Live update. I think this is because I have laughed so hard so much this week (and my Internet ADD has been just out of control).

And this post got really longer than I intended it to be anyway (mainly ‘cos IM Faceplate is just SOOOOO freakin’ awesome).

I also had been dragging my feet about posting (sorry) ‘cos I was expecting a domain transfer this week, that apparently is now not happening until this weekend sometime (so if the blog disappears for a few hours this weekend, don’t worry, it’ll be back shortly).

You probably also noticed there have been a few changes to the blog, and WordPress god Mike Paetzold has been giving me some new things to play with, some of which I still haven’t quite figured out exactly what to do with yet (but I will and woohoo!). Mike and Jerry Reeder thankfully don’t seem to mind my dumb questions too much (because if you have ever talked voice with me, you know I kinda sound like a 40-something year old Valley Girl with a bigtime Southern accent – and if you don’t know what the term “Valley Girl” means, you’re too young lol – so those questions probably sound even dumber sometimes). In any case, I’m very appreciative of their help with stuff (and they give out lots of help to lots of people for free every single week in their List Building Conferences).

(Or it’s either that they don’t mind my dumb questions, or they just feel sorry for me being “special” about some aspects of marketing, and I do mean that in the “short bus” kinda special way. LOL.)

So I will have to beg your forgiveness and ask you to cut me some slack today and tune in tomorrow for a decent TE Live update (with pictures!!!) because of both my failure to take proper notes because Jon Olson, Jerry Iannucci, Tim Linden, and all those other guys have had me laughing so much this week, AND the fact I really need to get a little work done today before TE Live starts again (in about an hour and a half as I type). I promise, we will catch up the entire week tomorrow!

But here’s a preview of Tim doing a (using this term VERY loosely) “commercial”:

*** Traffic Exchange Live is on UStream every weekday afternoon 3-4 pm EST ***

I should write a Traffic Exchange Live update post, but… really all we talked about at TE Live last week was Sweeva.com (and most of us Sweeving while we chat at TE Live at the same time). And I took yesterday 100% off because the storms were so bad down here I could hardly stay on the Internet for more than a minute or two at a time – plus I hadn’t really taken a whole day off 100% since, like, Christmas.

Sweeva has been open for a week as of today, and wow – it’s pretty much changed the whole landscape of the traffic exchange industry as well as the online marketing industry in general.

A couple of things I’ve noticed since Sweeva has been open that people are either misunderstanding, or misusing (to their own disadvantage)…

1. Sweeva’s not JUST for TE-worthy pages. The concept behind Sweeva is basically a format to allow viewing and reviewing of ALL kinds of sites – regular sales pages on the web, blogs, you name it – as well as “TE-worthy” splash and squeeze pages. As a Sweever, you need to get it into your mind that Sweeva is for review of all kinds of marketing and other pages, not just splashes and squeezes… and that although Sweeva has similarities to a traffic exchange and can be used like one for promoting, it’s not really a traffic exchange. It’s there for promoting, sure – but it’s also there for reviews in general as well. So don’t slam or thumbs down a site for not using a splash page or a squeeze page – Sweeva’s for ALL kinds of sites, not just the ones you should be running in traffic exchanges for the best results in those.

2. Don’t use a rotator on Sweeva. You can, but you’re doing yourself no favors by using a rotator because the chat that’s logged is about whatever site everyone in the chat is seeing at the time. If they’re all seeing different pages because you’re using a rotator, then the feedback in the chat’s not going to do you much good when you don’t know which of your pages they’re talking about. Best to upload just one URL at a time so you can get feedback centered on that one URL.

Yes, you can use Sweeva basically like you do any traffic exchange to promote your stuff – but Sweeva’s really much more than that. You get feedback about your site in real-time (or shortly after, because all chat about your page is logged) and then you can use that to tweak things up and change as necessary. If you’re surfing at the time your site is shown – which you can bid on and pick the exact times – another cool thing about Sweeva – you can chat with the other users about that feedback, answer their questions, walk them through your process, and just plain interact with others. These are all big pluses, in addition to the fact people are able to go to your profile and view all your pages, as well as your social networking links to Facebook and Twitter.

As you progress and earn more experience points and awards while Sweeving, you accrue even more perks, such as people being able to save/bookmark your site to look at again later and (this is really cool) people being able to Tweet your site on Twitter. I wasn’t paying attention to that last thing until the other day when I flipped over to my @ page on Twitter and discovered three people at Sweeva had Tweeted my sites! Now that’s SUPER cool.

One thing I discovered early on, once Sweeva opened up to the public, is that you can kind of do automatic split-testing of pages in real-time and that’s really cool to get that feedback right there in real-time like that. One morning I was just playing around and did some bids and sent different pages for the same programs into rotation just to see what the feedback would be like on one page vs. the other. That was really cool too.

Sweeva has been great thus far. In addition to the cool stuff I’ve noted above, I’ve gotten more opt-ins to my blog and to a couple of other programs that I promote than I normally would in probably a month otherwise. I’ve made some new contacts and had interactions with others I didn’t know before, which is great. And I’ve gotten some good feedback, some of which I’m going to use to do some tweaking of various things in the near future. As Jerry Reeder mentions in this post at the Get Referrals Fast blog, you kind of have to sift through the feedback and separate the useful feedback from the feedback that really doesn’t apply to that particular site or is not particularly helpful – but still, it’s a fantastic resource for its purpose.

Upgrading at Sweeva not only gets you a great deal more in commissions, but direct referrals (and I’ve gotten several already) from the site, as the site rotates among upgraded members for new signups who weren’t referred by a current member. There’s probably many more perks to upgrading that I’m not thinking of right now – I need to pick Jon’s brain a little and maybe will post about that tomorrow – but for me, those two points alone have made it extremely worthwhile.

Not Sweeving yet? That’s okay – click this link to Sweeva (or the banner below) and come Sweeve with me, and everyone else, today!

So, Tim Linden, Jon Olson, and Austin Hallock have been hiding a secret project up their sleeves… until today!

I know you have probably heard the buzz all over traffic exchange land the last month or so about this thing that was often jokingly referred to as “Pony Surf”… or maybe you even caught wind of Sweeva.com last week.

Well, I’m happy to report that Sweeva.com is open for registration RIGHT NOW, and will be open to fully use in just a few hours at 3pm EST (possibly a little earlier, definitely at 3)!

So… what is Sweeva.com?

Is it a new traffic exchange? Well, kinda. Sorta. Not really. Kinda!

I have been playing behind the scenes with Sweeva.com for a few weeks now and this is something totally never seen before…

Sweeva.com is, in a nutshell, social browsing.

Everyone sees the same sites. Everyone can chat about those same sites – together.

The chat’s logged so the site owner can see what people are saying about their sites – raves, thumbs down, whatever!

And there’s more…

  • - You get to choose exactly when your site will be seen!
  • - Bonus credits when people give your site a thumbs up!
  • - Social integration with Twitter, Facebook, all that stuff!

Even more – a screenshot of the website being shown in rotation is displayed inside the Sweeva logo, on Sweeva splash pages, and even on blogs through a widget.

You get exposure and branding even if they aren’t on Sweeva!

Just think… if you are surfing when your site is displayed, you can walk people through your processes… answer questions… the possibilities are unlimited!

This is something NEVER seen before, and it’s here right now:

Sign up right now and be the first to join in on the most exciting thing to hit traffic exchanges in a while!  Believe me, you don’t want to miss this!

It’ll be open fully to use at 3pm EST today (Tuesday – and possibly earlier than 3pm), but you can go ahead and register right now:

Enjoy! ‘cos it’s awesome!!

P.S. Be sure and take a look at the ‘Read Me’ file you’ll get when you sign up – you don’t want to miss out!

Well, since I can’t further report other than the photo I posted yesterday on Thursday’s Traffic Exchange Live That Was Originally Not Supposed To Be – since I did something else since they’d said they wouldn’t be on, LOL, then Tim Linden and John Guanzon (with new baby Josiah!) signed on anyway – so today’s a good day for me to quit slacking (finally!) and get caught up on the last several weeks of TE Live for a change… which will be mostly in pictures this time around, because I can’t find most of my Notepad files from what days I did manage to jot down a few notes.

Really I can’t think of anything in particular we did – usual chitchat for the most part with an occasional mini-spat or major event – other than the day Jon Olson took us on a tour of his house, which actually happened after TE Live end time one day and was a huge amount of fun. We have been treated to quite a lot of appearances by The Foot over the last many weeks (including with her head covered up in a leopard-spotted Snuggie). She hides a lot but you’ll see her on cam sometimes if you’re there. :-)

But I’m sure the photo evidence will remind me of a few things, so let’s see what all I have been saving up until now…

Jon begins the tour he gave of us of his house in March, waving hi:

There was a question about those things on the wall above the door – they’re flags – so Jon’s explaining them to us here:

Tim copying everything Jon does one day just to annoy him:

Tim says something funny and Jon and John are jolly:

Austin co-hosts instead of John one day:

The Foot’s lunches she makes for Jon are like works of art:

And here’s The Foot On The Door. Literally.

You wouldn’t necessarily know it, but Jon is frozen again here:

Tim sleeps on the job:

Quote of That Day: “We are Snuggie and SlapChop people.”

Tim Linden is a very scary person:

Everyone gets a little freaked out at the thought of drinking coffee out of Tim’s head:

And that’s all I’ve got for today. The End.

*** Traffic Exchange Live is on UStream every weekday afternoon 3-4 pm EST ***

So, Lynn M. Is Not Really Having A Good Week: Hot on the heels of nearly cutting my hand off not even two weeks ago and rather painfully recovering from that mess, now I’ve had two teeth break in the past week and I’m not a happy camper at all. This isn’t entirely unexpected as I’ve been tangling with mostly hereditary dental issues for years now, but twice in one week was a pretty big blow. Unfortunately when you don’t have health or dental insurance coverage, any solution is rather limited right now, so for the moment I’m just trying not to break them any further than they already are. Anyway, yes, not happy one bit. Ugh.

Lynn M.’s Traffic Tidbit of the Day: I think I posted recently about I Love Hits‘ new profile pages, which are awesome as heck. Rather disturbing is the fact that I hear from Jon that a lot of members haven’t bothered to fill out their spiffy new profiles yet, though. Listen folks, these things are so full of brand new cool stuff that you can use to your advantage in branding and promoting yourself! Like…

  • It has a list of your sites on the page (so people don’t even have to be surfing to see your sites, they can look at them via your profile!).
  • Links to your Twitter, Facebook, AND (this is sooooo cool) your Affiliate Funnel programs page!
  • And tons of other cool stuff you can do with it!

If you’re already a member, this is an easy and free way to promote yourself MORE (the ability for people to look at your sites when they’re not even surfing them is AWESOME) – use it to your advantage and if you haven’t tricked your new ILH profile out yet, do it now! I spent a good hour or so in chat over there one day just looking at people in chat’s profiles and clicking on stuff. So get on over to I Love Hits and spiffy up your new member profile right now, it’s a way cool (and easy, and free) way to promote yourself and your sites even more!

Surf’s Up Site of the Day: Shameless self-promotion today (been a while) – Traffic Pro-X

Why: I just happened to glance at the stats today and saw there’s been a LOT of surfing in the last 24 hours (and by real people who are valid surfers). So head over and get your credits assigned for the weekend, surf’s definitely up at my crib!

Hey, Check This Out: This really deserves a proper post of its own and I’m running out of time today anyway, so I’ll save the larger “meat and potatoes” part of this for a few days from now when I don’t have a TE Live update to post… but let me just say even though I was a little late getting started with Get Referrals Fast and everyone else has probably already told you all about it anyway, once I got into it and got everything set up, I was super duper highly impressed. This is exactly the kind of system I’ve been waiting for, for real. I’ve seen and used some others that either changed direction and focus or didn’t quite have all the pieces I’d have liked, so when the guys came out with this one – and once I finally got some time to sit down and get it set up and get familiar with it – I was stoked, it’s awesome.

This is the new system from our friends and master marketers Jerry Reeder, Mike Paetzold, and Jay Hines… and if you don’t know who they are – you must not get out much in TE Land (lol) – but you certainly SHOULD get to know them ‘cos they know what they’re talking about when it comes to this stuff, and they’ve done this thing up right (as we say in the South).

Once you get things set up, it really doesn’t get much more push-button or autopilot than this, and I LOVE push-buttony, autopilot-y stuff. It’s what everyone needs – a fully duplicatable system you can to others – and it goes you one better in that you can send your referrals to Jerry & Mike to learn how to use the system and learn how to effectively build their lists, because they hold their new & totally 100% free List Building Conferences every single week (as well as a new advanced conference that just started for upgraded members).

Even though I usually recommend upgrading in most anything to take full advantage of the largest amount of benefit, this is one I DEFINITELY recommend taking the upgrade in because you get so much more stuff to make it all even easier to use the system, as well as bigger commission perks and other perks like the advanced training. It’s really, really reasonable (skip that Starbucks latte two or three times in a month and you have enough to upgrade), and frankly it’d wind up paying for itself if you just use the system.

This is especially a good tool for those who have been trying to build downlines in TrafficWave and would be especially great for anyone who’s also in TE Teams (whether on my Team Traffic team or any other TE Teams team). This whole system basically sprung from Jerry’s major success with TrafficWave, and they’ve basically given you the same system he used here with Get Referrals Fast. It’s really got pretty much everything I could have ever asked for in a system like this.

(Except for a 125×125 banner I can put up yonder at the top of the blog, Mr. Reeder – if you’re reading, I’m begging! I tried to make one in PaintShopPro but I didn’t like the way it came out, LOL.)

So yep, I’m really digging Get Referrals Fast and think you will too – especially if you’ve been struggling trying to build up your TrafficWave – so give it a look-see and see what you think!

All righty then, since I started writing this post and after mentioning the previous hand injury and now the more recent breakage of teeth, I just dropped something on my toe and banged it up, so I think the universe is telling me to quit while I’m ahead for the day!! So ’til next time, I’m your TE Live gossip tweet on the beat… cya!

I’ve been kinda MIA since late last week (including missing Friday and Monday’s editions of Traffic Exchange Live) and I expect some folks are wondering where the heck I’ve been. Well, the Cliffs Notes version is I injured my hand Saturday afternoon after Saturday’s Affiliate Funnel conference while doing some stuff around the house. It’s not broken but yep, no fun. It’s taken me about an hour just to write this one short post (which is driving me bonkers anyway ‘cos I generally type pretty fast).

You don’t really think (at least I didn’t much) about stuff like that taking you out of circulation when you work solely online until it happens. Ugh.

Anyway, it hurts but I’m a little bit better today so hope to see everyone at Traffic Exchange Live tomorrow and if it doesn’t take five hundred years, maybe I’ll even do a real TE Live update here tomorrow. I missed Friday ‘cos I was up all night and the night before messing with tax time stuff and other stuff demanding my attention, and then today my stupid hand hurt so bad I just stayed mostly offline hoping some time off would help it heal quicker.

Don’t forget to check out Kym Robinson’s new venture Your Website Coaching that I talked about last week- free members now have an install available to them as well. It’s a really cool and complete package and if you’ve been dragging your heels about getting your own website online, Your Website Coaching could be a good solution for you!
