It was kind of a slow Friday on Traffic Exchange Live, and all three of our co-hosts had other obligations Friday afternoon and had to cut out early, so Friday was quite possibly one of the shortest TE Live broadcasts in history to date (lol). Still, as usual we had some fun, some questions got answered, and mostly it was just TE Live fun and frolic as usual – just a little abbreviated.

So today’s post isn’t shorter than usual because I didn’t take any or good notes (I’m vowing to do better this week, last week was just soooo busy and swamped) – but because not too much happened and TE Live didn’t last long on Friday!

With that said, here’s a look at what did happen during the abbreviated TE Live broadcast on Friday…

Fast Friday on Traffic Exchange Live:

  • We started out with just Tim Linden and John Guanzon on board for Friday’s TE Live. No one knew where Jon Olson was, though everyone was either seeing him on Skype or Twitter (lol).
  • Then noted programmer Austin Hallock joined on cam. Except we never did hear Austin, we could only see him.
  • Jon popped up after a while with the cam on. Or should I say, Jon and The Foot (hey, that sounds like a TV show, doesn’t it?).
  • Jon announced he was going to have to leave early on Friday because he had to drive to Edmonton that afternoon since it was his weekend to spend with his son.
  • Jon said his workout was good Thursday, so we were all happy to hear it was going better than previously.
  • Jon ate taco pizza.
  • John had to leave early to go take on the always fun task of standing in line at the DMV to get his driver’s license renewed.
  • Tim asked us if we’d checked our private mail at StartXChange that day. We all looked and discovered that most of us had had several credits re-added to our accounts, which he had done for pages affected after he caught someone cheating the system.
  • After a while, Jon had one piece of taco pizza left. Tim suggested he mail it out to one of those starving kids in China or wherever.
  • Jon didn’t want to have to go work out on Friday since he still had his long drive to Edmonton ahead of him.
  • Tim and his wife had to leave to go somewhere and Jon had his workout to get to and then his long drive, so TE Live closed early, with everyone wishing each other a happy weekend and all such good stuff.
  • GIVEAWAYS: No giveaways on Friday.
  • I CALL YOU OUT ABOVE, YOU GET LINKAGE: Austin Hallock
  • ALSO ON THE SCENE: Paul Brown, Sean Supplee, Stephen Whittle, Wanda Robinson, Charles Smith, Brenda Broyles, James Vest, Arick Lowry, JD Sherman, Kjell Lindstrom, Rhonda Morton, Marcy McManaway, Peter Solty, Jon Atwood – and of course, Jerry Iannucci and Randy Ritter.

So, Lynn M. Is Hungry: One thing that the TE Live people have probably learned about me over the past few months is that I’m a terrible eater. I don’t eat much when I do eat; I don’t eat but about one meal a day (if even that); and I’m constantly getting busy with this or that and just plain forgetting to eat, until suddenly I’m starving again. That said, I just realized a little while ago when my stomach started growling (about the time I was typing and writing about Jon Olson’s taco pizza) that I haven’t eaten a real meal since… Wednesday, I think. (I have eaten since then, it’s just been, like, tortilla chips and salsa). It’s too bad I don’t live in Saskatoon, then I could go over to Jon’s house every day since he’s ALWAYS cooking, or ordering something good out. Heh.

Lynn M.’s Traffic Tidbit of the Day: It pays to attend the various traffic exchange and marketing-related conferences there are every week, people! Saturdays at Affiliate Funnel’s noon conference, there is usually a “guessing game” (for those who get there on time) to guess how many people max will show up for the conference, and this past Saturday, Brian Rickert and I tied for the guess (37) and both won 1000 credits at both Tezak Traffic Power and Fast Easy Traffic.

Last night at the TrafficLeads2Income weekly Sunday conference, one-month upgrades were given away for TL2I, ThumbVu, Traffic Pro-X, Whirlwind Traffic, and Eternity Traffic, with massive credit prizes given away (1000 to 5000 credits) as well; a lifetime upgrade for Build Your List With Ease was given away; and Sean Supplee of VisitManiac gave away a new ebook. The person who won my one-month upgrade and massive credits prize to Traffic Pro-X had JUST become a member of the TE and of TrafficLeads2Income a few hours before the conference! The TL2I Sunday conference so far has had massive giveaways both weeks and will likely continue in that regard, so seriously – it pays to just show up at the conferences for Affiliate Funnel and TrafficLeads2Income. These happen every week, you could walk away a big winner, and several people did this weekend!
