So, it occurred to me that it really just makes more sense to post Friday’s Traffic Exchange Live recap on Monday, sort of like normal people for whom weekends are different than weekdays and don’t work 6-7 days a week every week – i.e., non-traffic exchange and non-Internet marketing people – would. Which maybe doesn’t make sense since most people reading here probably fall in one of the two categories if not both, but since otherwise I don’t have a recap to post on Mondays (not a scheduled one anyway) and who knows, I might actually go out of town or something some weekends (doubtful but possible) – I don’t know, that just makes more sense to me right now. Of course, that’s subject to change at any time and I will still probably make SOME sort of post on the weekend, just not a usual TE Live recap today. That’ll be Monday – this week anyway.
But I did want to mention what’s the big news anyway (and quite possibly some of the biggest news of the entire year) is that some of the biggest names in the traffic exchange industry and many others made a sweeping move yesterday to jump from AWeber to Traffic Wave, including Tim Linden, Jon Olson, and Jerry Reeder, and Jerry Iannucci signed up in the wave (pun intended) as well. Jon has made no bones about his dissatisfaction with AWeber’s prejudice for years now towards the traffic exchange industry (details here) and the timing was just right for what amounts to a large chunk of traffic exchange-involved folks to move over to a company that actually wants our business in Traffic Wave.
Tim has been testing it out, and based on favorable results both experienced by Tim and results that many of us at NMF have been following for a few months, as well as – most importantly – the fact that Traffic Wave owner Brian Rooney himself has been very visible at Net Marketing Forum and in the traffic exchanges, and has made it clear that Traffic Wave wants and welcomes the business of traffic exchange owners and others involved in the traffic exchange industry – well, there’s already been a bit of an exodus moving to Traffic Wave that is liable to be pretty massive, starting now and continuing on into the future.
Jon is even planning to update The Pizza Plan soon with Traffic Wave and TE Toolbox information – so yeah, this is a pretty big deal, folks.
There are a lot of great reasons to switch ($17.95 a month for unlimited autoresponders and subscribers, forever, for one thing – no paying more as you gain more subscribers), and there are a few things Traffic Wave doesn’t currently have – like Tim, I am using AWeber’s blog broadcast feature, which Traffic Wave currently doesn’t have but Tim’s been told they are liable to have it in the future, so I may go ahead and switch the blog over to it and just do the blog broadcasts manually for a while.
But the other good thing about Traffic Wave wanting and welcoming the business from the traffic exchange industry is that, given that as well as Brian Rooney’s hands-on and personal approach to his business and his visibility at NMF, with so many of us moving over to Traffic Wave, we’re liable to see things we need addressed quickly and certainly on a much more approachable and welcomed level than with AWeber, since Traffic Wave wants and welcomes traffic exchange folks. I know personally from my own experiences in the past with not only Traffic Wave but Brian’s other businesses that when you have support issues with them, those issues are responded to and addressed very fast, and often from Brian himself. I’m pretty sure you’re never gonna get a response like that from the owner of AWeber, right?
In any case, this is a really good turn of events for the traffic exchange industry as a whole, and everyone’s a winner in this one, we believe – Traffic Wave, traffic exchange owners, and traffic exchange users alike, as well as anyone who needs an autoresponder (i.e., everyone). You get a reliable autoresponder that you will never have to pay anything more than the base price for, no matter how many subscribers you gain, and excellent customer service from a company that truly wants and very much welcomes the business of traffic exchange owners and users. And if you were a past user of Traffic Wave but not currently, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised at the massive and super changes and improvements they have made to the back office since the last time I saw it a few months ago. I logged in yesterday and was all, like, “Whoa! How cool!”
Even though it may look like we’re goofing off and doing nothing in Traffic Exchange Live a lot of the time, lots of days magic happens in there, and this was one of them – Tim testing and checking out Traffic Wave further and Jon having his epiphany to move full-tilt 100% over from AWeber to Traffic Wave – and if I’d had any hesitation at all about it (which I didn’t anyway), when Mr. Jerry Reeder had signed up as well, that sealed the deal for me, so to speak.
This is a good move for all of us and the traffic exchange industry as a whole, moving our business to a company that actually caters to the traffic exchange niche.
So there ya go. Traffic exchange owner, user, fan, whichever – if you want to do business with a company that not only wants and welcomes your business, but actively supports the traffic exchange industry in general, then Traffic Wave is an excellent choice.

Now, as for Traffic Exchange Live, I’ll be back on Monday with the Friday recap (I suspect I’m going to be very busy much of the rest of the weekend moving my stuff over to Traffic Wave, LOL). Have a great weekend, everyone!

Whoops, I just realized I forgot to add the link (where I typed “details HERE”) to Jon’s detailed writing about why he has been unhappy with AWeber, which was in the “Deep Thoughts” section of last week’s edition of Hit Exchange News here:

I didn’t want to go back and edit the post since that might get it tossed back out as a “new post” by anyone reading the blog via feed, but there’s the link if you’re interested.

[...] what a stir this caused on Net Marketing Forum, Lynne McCutcheon’s blog has outstanding coverage and Scott Douglas even referenced it on the OBA [...]

No! I don’t wanna wait until Monday to read what happened on Friday. I don’t even like waiting until Saturday. I think the sooner you can post the updates the better. Of course if you don’t have time on the weekend that’s another matter and we’ll just have to wait. Otherwise, the sooner the better!

LOL! Well obviously I have dropped the ball today as I didn’t post in time but that’s partially because of wrangling with the blog broadcast schedule in AWeber/AYL (which will soon be a thing of the past!) and partially because I am too cold to type (tho it’s a LITTLE warmer today).
Now that we’ve all moved to Traffic Wave I think, until they institute blog broadcast (which it sounds like they might), once I get all my list moved over today then I’m gonna manually broadcast… which means I can update that night or even immediately after if I want! Bwahahaha :D
Lemme get all my stuff moved and serial blogging will commence :D
